Acknowledging innovativeness is the trend of today to evaluate one’s capabilities. If you have the ability to create,build,innovate something that exhibits your understanding of concepts, can solve a real life problem or reduce human effort considerably then exhibit it in this competition.
Theme: (decided later)

Rules:

1. A maximum of 2 participants in a team are allowed. You can participate alone also.
2. Only one submission is allowed per team.
3. The maximum build cost of the submitted project must not increase Rs. 5000.
4. The project should be electronics based.
5. Validity of the entry that whether the project matches the theme will be decided by the organizers.
6 The organizers reserve the right to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit.Change in rules, if any, will be highlighted on the website and notified to the registered participants.
7. Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any team indulging in misbehaviour or violating any rules. In case of any disputes/discrepancies, the organizer's decision will be final and binding.

Ever stared at flames dancing in the fireplace? Got lost in them? Lost track of time? Led Matrix is an electronic analogue to those dancing flames. Programming LED Matrices to for animations that capture your imagination is an art, and if you have it in you, come and show us what you got. So, IIITDM Jabalpur brings you the challenge of showing your creative thinking with the use of technology.

Rules:

1.Each team can consist of a maximum of 4 members.
2. The team members can be from different institutes or colleges.
3.There will be two rounds: Round 1 - Animation, Round 2 - Gaming.
4. The teams are allowed to use readymade microcontrollers, programmers and 3D LED Cube or bigger.
5. Use of development boards like Arduino, TIVA-C Launchpads is not allowed.
6. You should inform the organizers about the simulators you are using for testing before the event otherwise you may be disqualified if you hide information which is unfair.
7. Teams can use any development environments like CV-AVR, Atmel Studio etc. to code the animations and games. The codes must be original and the teams should be able to explain the logic/flow of their code.
8. You can use any self-made calculators/Microsoft Excel to calculate the binary value of O/P pins but you are not allowed to use any software for automatic generation of the whole code based on the O/P to the matrix. You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to follow rule 3.

CIRCUIT SIMULATUM

Statement:

You have to solve a specific problem by designing an electronic circuit using only linear and non-programmable ICs. The design will use the concepts from basic Analog and Digital electronics and is to be designed on a Breadboard.Required hardware components and equipments will be provided by us.

Event Rules:

Teams of two participants only can contest for this event.
Registration fee Rs. per team.
There will be total 2 rounds.
First round will be elimination round with a problem statement that has to be solved by designing a circuit on any circuit simulation software.Pen & paper solutions are also acceptable.
Second round will be circuit designing and implementation round in which actual circuit has to be implemented on hardware.
Both the rounds are open in nature, means you will be provided question sheets/components on the registration desk and you need to submit them back within the specified time limit.
There will be time bonus.
All the components and material required for the circuit will be provided by us.
Power supply and other testing devices like multimeter other tools will be made available in the venue room.
All the components provided by the organizers must be returned after tgrr the competition .

Round 1:

This will be a written elimination round consisting of questions related to electronic fundamentals and hardware.
Question sheets will be provided to the registered teams on a particular time.
They will have 30 min. to solve the questions and submit the paper or show their simulated circuit.
Results will be declared within 10 min. and selected teams will have to report for next round.

Round 2:

Teams that will qualify after the first round will build a hardware application. The theme of which will be disclosed on the spot.
All the components and required material will be provided to the teams.
All teams will be having same kit of components.
Teams should draw circuit diagram of the statement problem depicting all the principles and theories involved in circuit.
Data Sheets and other unused components must be submitted within the time limit.
Submitting the application/kits early will benefit the team as time bonus.
Time bonus will be considered for tie-breaking between two or more teams..

Judging Criterion (for round 2):

The application will be judged according to the following criteria:
Design of circuit. (20)
Compactness of design. (10)
Desired output. (30)
Exploration of concepts/theories.(20)
Bread boarding skills/neatness of the implemented circuit. (20)

Statement:

2- Quizzard will be written.
3-The paper will be objective type ,consisting of multiple choice questions and you will have to tick the correct answer on the question paper itself.
4- It will include 60 multiple choice questions.
5- The allowed time limit will be 45 minutes.
6-There will be negative marking in the quizzard.
7- The decision of judges will be final.
8-The organizers reserve the right to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit.
9- Change in rules, if any, will be highlighted on the website and notified to the registered participants.
10-Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any team indulging in misbehavior or violating any rules.In case of any disputes/discrepancies, the organizer's decision will be final and binding.
